About
My first camera was a webcam, and my first production was stop motion, which I taught myself at eight years old after falling in love with how Wallace & Gromit was made. By twelve I'd moved on to the Adobe Suite, teaching myself visual effects, 3D motion tracking, and motion graphics well before I had any idea it could be a career.
Before I'd even finished school, I was already shooting events on my own, starting with my own high school formal. That appetite for making things carried straight into a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design, majoring in animation, where my major work won the Vice Chancellor's Award, the top honour in the degree.
I got my ABN in 2019, and when COVID hit, I leaned hard into content: TikTok, Instagram, food videos. That pivot landed me my first real industry job, as a studio assistant at Suddenly Productions, owned by News Corp, where I worked my way up to operating camera within a year.
From there, I took on a bigger role as lead photographer and videographer for 4WD Supa Centre, shooting all their photo and video content and pushing the production value up with everything I’d picked up at News Corp. Eight months of freelancing with clients I already knew followed, before I went looking for more marketing experience and landed as Head of Content at Reward Homes and ISOA Group, a residential builder and developer, where I created and managed all of the content for their businesses.
That experience is what eventually brought me back to freelancing full-time, this time with the tools, the experience, and the industry contacts to actually back it up.
